Uran Limited has, through its right to acquire 100% of Discovery Minerals Ltd,  6 applications for Exploration Permits at 3 locations in Czech Republic covering uranium deposits which have been previously defined by drilling. The applications have been rejected and are under appeal. In April 2010 the Supreme Administrative Court overturned the rejection by a lower court of applications for Exploration Permits by another company, on reasoning which may set a favourable precedent for Uran’s applications.

The Czech Government is currently reviewing its future energy needs and is likely to take a decision to expand its nuclear power generation, which will require accessing increased uranium supply from internal or foreign sources.
