overview

Uran Limited has implemented its strategy to secure advanced uranium production assets in Europe and Asia through

  • an agreement encompassing a key strategic alliance with Discovery Minerals Pty Ltd,
  • applications for Exploration Permits over previously identified uranium deposits in Bulgaria.

Uran can acquire Discovery Minerals Pty Ltd, which is currently in negotiations to acquire advanced and producing uranium properties in a number of countries which were formerly under Soviet influence or control including Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.

Through its rights over Discovery, Uran Limited has applied for exploration permits in Czech Republic covering significant previously-identified uranium mineralisation in two regions where uranium mining has been carried out by In Situ Leaching and by underground mining.

Uran has also entered into a Protocol for Ukraine which sets out terms under which Uran may enter into a Joint Venture over certain uranium deposits in the Dnipropretrovsky region, including both sedimentary deposits amenable to In-Situ Leaching (ISL) and underground mines.

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed with two key governmental agencies in Kazakhstan to facilitate the acquisition of advanced uranium projects in major uranium mining regions within Kazakhstan.

Discovery Minerals’ key assets include a strategic alliance with Integra Group - a Russian company which carries out mining and engineering projects largely within the CIS - to acquire existing uranium resources and advanced uranium projects in Uzbekistan.

These countries are two of the world’s biggest uranium producers.

Uran is also actively pursuing other advanced uranium assets in USA and other countries of the CIS.
