Uran Limited has a strategy of acquiring advanced uranium projects with existing resources and reserves, or producing mines, particularly within the area of the former USSR.
The Company has strong mining and uranium exploration expertise in both Board and management.
It also has extensive experience in conducting business and negotiations within the former USSR, in industries including mining, metals sales and IT. |

The region of the former USSR is the focus of the Company’s attention because:
- Extensive high-quality uranium exploration and scientific research was carried out in the Soviet era. Much of this information is still available in good form and is held by current governments.
- Some of these countries are keen to involve foreign mining expertise and capital to enable rapid development of advanced uranium projects.
- Considerable progress has been made in a number of countries towards establishing legislation which provides access and certainty of tenure for foreign investment and mining.
- The region includes some of the world’s largest current and historic producers of uranium.
